The Journal Biomedicine (ISSN: 0970 2067) is the official publication of Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists (IABMS), serving medical society for last 30 years. It is published quarterly (in the last weeks March, June, September and December). Publishes reviews, special articles, research papers, case reports and letters to the editor. This journal provides a common forum for publication of original works in areas of medical sciences namely physiology, biochemistry, anatomy, pharmacology, toxicology, microbiology, biophysics, biomedical engineering & technology, surgical and dental sciences, clinical & experimental medicine, immunology, neurosciences, and related areas. Letter to the Editor should generally refer to articles recently published in Biomedicine. However, letters to editors may also be on current topics of biomedicine. Reviews are generally solicited from established scientists, but proposal for reviews are welcome.
All efforts are made to complete the peer review and editorial processing on time. Papers are independently reviewed by at least two reviewers, either the members of the editorial board or the invited experts selected by the editors. Usually, decisions on publication are reached within six weeks from the date of receipt of the papers. If the papers are accepted for publications subject to revisions, revised manuscripts must be returned approximately within two months. Usually, papers are published within six months after their receipt by the office of the Editor-in-Chief. Authors may know about the status of their paper from this website. On receipt of the paper, editorial office will communicate a manuscript ID number to the corresponding author. Authors can know the status of their manuscript from our website by clicking the the hyperlink “Manuscript Status” through the manuscript ID number allotted to their paper.
Presently the journal is indexed in: Excerpta Medica, CAB International, Chemical Abstracts and IndMed. All efforts are on to index Biomedicine in Index Medicus, Pubmed, Medline and other indexing authorities at the earliest possible.
